Getting from Dubrovnik to Korcula

The island of Korcula is among the most popular travel destinations in Croatia.

If you are reaching this beautiful island from Dubrovnik, the most easiest way is to take a catamaran (ferry) available all-year round. This catamaran arrives to Korcula Old Town. Note that there are no car ferries on this route!

For taking a vehicle, you'll need to drive to the small town of Orebic (Peljesac Peninsula) and from there catch a car ferry to the island (frequent service all-year round).

There is also a daily bus from Dubrovnik to Korcula Old Town available all-year round.

Catamarans (passenger ferries) from Dubrovnik to Korcula

Travelling between Dubrovnik and the island of Korcula by super-fast catamaran is super easy and convenient. You'll embark catamaran on the pier in Gruz, which can be reached by any city bus. These catamarans operate between Split and Dubrovnik with stops on the islands in between, including the stop in Korcula Old Town.

Travellers can choose from 5 departures daily. Jadrolinija's catamaran departs at 7:00 am in the morning arriving to Korcula at 9:00 am.

In addition, both KRILO and TP LINE offer 2 departures daily, sailing from Dubrovnik in the mid-afternoon.

Bus from Dubrovnik to Korcula

Another affordable way of travel from Dubrovnik to the island of Korcula is by bus.

There is a regular bus service available throughout the year and the journey time is around 3 hours 25 minutes. The bus departs from Dubrovnik Main Bus Station, takes a coastal road from Dubrovnik to Orebic and then board on a car ferry across to the island.

Tickets for the buses can be purchase at both Dubrovnik and Korcula Bus Stations or online.

Once you reach Korcula Town, use local buses to get around (book buses to Zrnovo, Vela Luka, Prigradica and Pupnat HERE). There is also a taxi service on the island.

Driving from Dubrovnik to Korcula island

The island of Korcula is situated very close to the land - Peljesac peninsula.

For reaching Korcula from Dubrovnik, first you need to reach the town of Orebic (on Peljesac peninsula), from where you can catch regular car ferry to Domince (frequent service all-year round), which is suburb on the edge of Korcula Town.

Day trip from Dubrovnik to Korcula
